The Infinite Black fights back…

My thought for new content is for a new type of NPC invasion that is driven to attack garrisons and is spawned as a monthly event with a few days’ notice so alliance can plan and prepare accordingly to defend.
These would be roaming 8 sector invasions similar to the moving invasion on RON. They spawn 3-5 sectors away from any cluster containing 3+ garrisons in connecting sectors, and then move their way to the cluster and actually attack the garrison. If they succeed in busting that garrison, they move on to the next until the cluster completely rolled. Once the cluster is rolled, that invasion could either move on to the next deployed cluster or it could stay put sitting in the sectors where the cluster use to be deployed, killing any loggers (sound familiar?)
The type of NPC invasion attacking the cluster could be determined by the :NPC most killed by that particular alliance at that time, bring a use to that data already being collected. The garrison busting NPC’s should be sized based on the size of garrison they are currently attacking. So if Wyrd’s are the most killed NPC by the targeted alliance and that alliance has an XX garrison first in line, then 15 Dread Reapers would jump on the garrison and commence attacking it. All GB rules stay the same, no additional NPC’s can jump in if one dies, NPC’s cannot jump out if they get close to death, and only 10 defenders in sector at a time. The NPC’s would only attack the garrison so that defenders only have to worry about splash damage rather than the critical hits that would come from 15 Dread Reapers in one sector. If your alliance only has an XII garrison as the first in line, then maybe it would be 15 Elite Reapers. Just scale the size of the NPC based on the damage output required to drop that specific size of garrison.
The rest of the invasion sectors not on the garrison under attack, would be the “NPC support team”, and would contain at least one seed/hive/stronghold of proportionate size to the alliance under attack. The sector cap for these invasions should be raised or removed so that an alliance can properly attack the “NPC support team” and slow the garrison busting progress.
On a similar note, have NPC clusters that spawn with 8 seed/hive/strongholds in a string with 10 NPC defenders protecting each. Reduce the sector limit to 15 (same as GB) and allow the seed/hive/stronghold to be attacked even if NPC’s are still in sector. This way you can drop the seed/hive/stronghold and then send in some help to drop the NPC’s.
In other words, make a PVE version of garrison busting and garrison defense.

+1 for something new on the PvE level.

That would be over expecting ... them haven't even worked on the :rifty feature of the game and its prizes yet if i remember right they were given only once. Never again opposed to what was told that every server restart guys in top 10 of :rifty LB would receive prizes. 1st prizes were Ultrarare III big stores +3 ep ones.

ozy already tried this and the npcs just murdized everything they came across esp nubs around grey edge. and now i think this idea (npc factions) has been fully put on the back burner.
it be a great feature and something that im totally sure would revitalize the game and bring back old players and bring in swarms on new players but if the bugs cant be worked out before fully putting into the game it could possibly kill the game for awhile (being that the bug part made em almost insta kill everything they came acrossed.) lets hope ozy keeps working on this and gets it figured out and implemented.

What if the top :npcs killed is of het faction? 15 dread hets in one sector? Seesh!
