General Solutions for random issues (DC issues, high ping, lag spikes, chat lag)

Sometimes people have intermittent or new issues that pop up for no obvious reason. Many of these problems can be easily fixed by doing a few simple things. Follow the below suggestions, and see if they can help you!

Think of this list as a flow chart for troubleshooting many different issues.

!! IF you are using a 3G/4G connection, expect lag, poor performance, and constant disconnects. These were not designed for Massive Online Games like The Infinite Black.

!! Use Wifi for best results!

1) *** Reboot your phone ***

2) Uninstall and then re-install the game

3) For WiFi users, reboot your modem and router

4) For PC users, re-install the game and then reboot your computer

5) Have you installed a new App recently? This application might be causing problems (especially Apps that use banner adds!). Uninstall this application or download a Task Killer program (e.g. Advanced Task Killer) and make sure that the Application is killed before playing TIB!

6) Make sure your phone's Software is up to date!

If you are using these phones and tablets, EXPECT ISSUES due to hardware and software flaws in these devices!

1) Samsung Galaxy S, S2, Note -- Most issues are addressed by upgrading your phone's software and OS to Android 4 (ICS). Not all carriers have released this update yet, especially in the USA (e.g. Sprint). Your choices are to root your phone and download the appropriate leaked software updates, or be patient.

2) HTC Sensation -- This phone has random reboot issues (Google it), possibly caused by faulty power management software and bad batteries. Best solution is to not buy this phone or exchange it for another model.

3) ANY Budget phone -- Many budget phones just do not have the power to run TIB well. For best gameplay, look for phones that have CPUs over 1000 MHZ.

4) ANY Budget (Chinese) Tablets - They game their stats. Don't expect to spend $100 on a tablet and expect anything short of a miserable experience. Many budget tablets do not allow access to Google Play, forcing you to root the device. Brands to NOT buy: ePad, Newsmy, ATC, Velocity, PanDigital, Coby Kyros, Ainol Nova, etc etc. Brand TO Buy: Big names only....HTC, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, Asus, Acer, etc.

Have you even looked at blackdollar prices? Do you think we'd buy a Mont Blanc pen right after a bd sale, dumbass?
