Garrison & Engagement Balance

The end-game of TIB is still evolving as players continue to test the limits of rules that I wrote 5 years ago, many of which were designed as guesswork because there was no realistic way to experiment with them outside of a spreadsheet.

Game balance improvements will be introduced tonight to help with defense of Garrisons, which have become too easy to beat. Since the original engagement rules were written we've introduced many new powerful items, and increased the Equip Point caps to allow stronger builds.

- Rank 17 Garrisons produce +1 Defense Platform
- Rank 20 Garrisons produce +1 Defense Platform
- When a Garrison is defeated, nearby friendly Garrisons are protected for 2 minutes
- Busting Rank 17 Garrisons gives 500 Combat Points
- Busting Rank 18 Garrisons gives 1,000 Combat Points
- Busting Rank 19 Garrisons gives 1,500 Combat Points
- Busting Rank 20 Garrisons gives 2,000 Combat Points

As always, The Infinite Black is under constant development, and no systems are ever final. All changes are up for debate.

“As I said: There has been no change. I have no reason to tell you something other than the truth. If it were changed, I would put it in the patch notes, edit the wiki, and tell you about it. There is no conspiracy or mystery for you to solve. It is the EXACT SAME FORMULA that has been executing for the last 3.5 years. I just verified this in source code control. There is no "if player is LightSide, do this, else do that" in the code, and the laws of physics are not warping around you to generate different results from anyone else. Random is random, and no dice roll effects any other dice roll.
