Experience and Level Bonuses

Earning Experience

Experience earned is based on your level and the level of the NPC killed.

• Even-leveled kills are worth 75 experience points.
• Experience is doubled (to 150) or reduced to 0 exp, within a +/- 20 level range, respectively.
  • e.g. if you are level 10 and kill a level 31 NPC, you will earn 150 experience.
  • e.g. if you are level 30 and kill a level 9 NPC, you will earn 0 experiecne.
• If Hardcore Mode is turned on, all experience earned is doubled.

Passive Stats

As a ship gains levels in Rings of Night, passive stat bonuses are earned.

• Maximum Hull Bonus = Level * 3
• Critical Chance Bonus = Level * 0.05
• Evasion Chance Bonus = Level * 0.05
• Hit Chance Bonus = Level * 0.05
• Hull Repair Modifier Bonus = Level

Level Rewards

• For every 10 levels earned, players are rewarded with (500 x Level) credits.
• As you reach important Level milestones, you will be rewarded with a random item!

      • Can be any Faction, including Rift
      • Rank III
      • 50% Durability
      • NO DROP
  • Level 8
    • Rare Armor
      • Can be Pirate, Heteroclite, or Wyrd Faction
      • Rank VI
      • 50% Durability
      • NO DROP
  • Level 12
    • Rare Weapon
      • Can be any Faction, including Rift
      • Rank VIII
      • 50% Durability
      • NO DROP
  • Level 20
    • Rare Advanced Tech I Computer
      • 50% Durability
      • NO DROP
  • Level 30
    • Uncommon Special
      • 25% Durability
      • Bind on Equip
  • Level 50
    • Legendary Engine
      • 100% Durability
