The Alien Hunter Special is designed to increase resource and loot received by killing NPCs, making the Player vs. Environment (PvE) aspect of The Infinite Black more rewarding.

Features

  • Fits into the Specials item type slot
  • Large damage bonus vs Wyrd and Heteroclite NPCs.
  • Superior resource and loot drop bonus when killing any NPC, including Pirates.
    • Resource & Loot bonus works 100% of the time (unlike the Prospector which works a percentage of the time)
    • Resource & Loot bonus stacks with Scavenger corporate technology
  • Increased Rarity increases the resource and loot drop bonus.
  • +1 Equip Point at Precursor Rarity
  • +2 Equip Point at Ultimate Rarity
  • Limited-edition/Limited-time item, available during special events with the :claim command.

Resource Drop Bonus

  • In order to reap the rewards from the Alien Hunter's Resource Drop Bonus, the player with the Alien Hunter equipped must strike the final blow that destroys the NPC.
  • All allies in the sector will experience an increase in resources earned.
  • The amount of the bonus increases with the Rarity of the Alien Hunter.

Loot Drop Bonus

  • In order to reap the rewards from the Alien Hunter's Loot Drop Bonus, the player with the Alien Hunter equipped must strike the final blow that destroys the NPC.
  • When determining whether loot is dropped, and its rarity, the class of NPC will be effectively increased by one level.
    • Killing a Weak NPC will earn loot as if a Normal NPC was killed.
    • Killing a Normal NPC will earn loot as if an Elite NPC was killed.
    • Killing an Elite NPC will earn loot as if a Boss NPC was killed.
    • Killing a Boss NPC will earn loot as if a Dread NPC was killed.
    • Killing a Dread NPC will earn loot as if the NPC was a class higher than a Dread!!
